Our Theatre Presents Beyond the land of Hattamala English | Kannada | Hindi     Playwright:  Badal Sircar  Directed by Vivek Vijayakumaran   Synopsis: Imagine. Can there be a place where everyone is content with their choices  and has achieved a state of happiness? Can there be a place where everyone works with no concept of money? Can there be happy co-existence or is that a purely romantic rhetoric notion? Why do we purport to the existence of such a place? The possibility of imagining such an “unreal” is rooted in the presence of the real which is the here and now. Beyond the land of Hattamala is a play with a “Child's Heart” and Two Thieves”. Kenappa and Becha jump into a river to escape being caught. They wash up on the shores of a land 'beyond', where buying and selling are alien concepts.
