RE: Summer Information

[San Dimas HS Band]

Hello SDHS Band Family,

Here are a few dates and reminders to help our program run smoothly. 

This coming Monday, July 15, at 7:30PM there will be a screening of Back to the Future at Thomas Plaza (E 2nd St., Downtown Pomona). The hosts of this event will allow our band to sell snacks for a fundraiser. Please come out if you can, grab some snacks, and enjoy a movie under the stars.

Band Camp will be held August 5–9 and 12–16 from 12PM to 9PM. There will be a dinner break around 4:30. We need volunteers for August 5–9 and August 12–15 to pick up dinner for the band kids who would like to purchase dinner. Volunteers will need to

                     1) be available around noon to pick up the money for dinner orders 

                     2) return to the school around 3:30 to set up the food in time for the break.

 

 We will also need around 10 volunteers to help with the Band BBQ (August 16, the last day of band camp) with grilling and serving food. If you're available to help on one or more of these days, please let us know as soon as possible.

 

We'll send out a reminder shortly before band camp and will include meal options and cost for each day. If your student will be ordering lunch, please be sure they have money at the beginning of each day that they're ordering a meal.  Alternatively, your student can prepay for meals at the beginning of band camp.

 

Also although or summer temperatures have been cool, it is still important that the kids stay hydrated during practices.  We sill need water donations please.
