Food, Films, and Scientists

Hey all

Digital Gym Cinema in North Park is hosting a food film festival of sorts on May 13. Fresh Cinema pairs scientist talks after food films with food demonstrations, a farm stand, and hot eats. 

We're pulling scientists out of the classrooms and research labs of UC San Diego and Scripps Institution of Oceanography to speak with audiences about the science of the film themes.

The event is free to attend, but films are ticketed at general admission (group discounts available). 

We're seeking:

• Community groups that would be interested in partnering to help get the word out, we do have tabling space available. 
• A Registered Dietitian or someone with background in nutrition science that would be interested in speaking to the science of foods impact on chronic disease.  
• Any chefs or groups that perform food demonstrations and available on May 13.
