Hello It's My Park Day volunteers!
I wanted to send a note to everyone who has registered to help out for It's My Park Day tomorrow, November 1st from 9am to 12pm. The weather is going to be gorgeous and we have some impactful projects for all of you to help with that are going to make the garden more beautiful and welcoming.
If you have extra weed whackers, trimmers, and garden shears that you wouldn't mind bringing to help us with the projects, that would be helpful. We'll have some of all of the above, but could use more with the number of volunteers and work that we'll have.
We'll have water and some snacks for everyone along with work gloves and other supplies and you'll be able to pick up your It's My Park Day t-shirt on site as well.
If this is the first time that you've been to the garden, you'll find it behind the MLK train station just over the bridge from the Mabson Downs baseball field. If you're driving, there's parking at the baseball field or in the surrounding neighborhoods. There's very limited parking down the gravel driveway, so please don't plan on parking there unless you absolutely need to.
