A final reminder that the Feb Garden Workday is tomorrow, Sat Feb 7 from 10am to 12pm. We'll be finishing up the spigot for the new plots in Phase 5 and
Plot Inspections This Weekend
Tomorrow will also be a great time to spend some time cleaning your plots before the quarterly plot inspection is completed on Sunday. We'll take some consideration of the recent freeze and seasonal plant turnover but all plots should still be in compliance with the 5 areas we check according to the garden contract:
- Plants that are actively being maintained or has the plot been seasonally winterized/solarized?
- Has the area been weeded and clear of invasive plants?
- Is the garden only using organic gardening methods and abiding to the garden water conservation policy?
- Have tools and supplies been properly stored and maintained?
- Is the plot in proper boundaries and the surrounding pathways wide enough for a wheelbarrow to pass?
Plot inspection results will be available in your gardener dashboard at GardenCommunities.org and we'll email brief notifications to anyone who fails or gets a warning.
Work Hours
Remember that you can also log your work hours in your Gardener Dashboard but we're still allowing people to log on the shared spreadsheet if you haven't yet logged into the app.
