Hi Gardeners,

The quarterly plot inspection process was completed today. The primary gardener for plots that did not pass received an email with details and instructions. If you did not get an email, your plot either passed or just had a warning for minor items that needed to be addressed. A summary of the inspection process:

  • 21 plots passed all 5 of the inspection criteria.
  • 11 have warnings because the plot passed but has issues if not addressed could cause it to fail the next inspection.
  • 18 failed because of one or more issue that was beyond the norms of what would be considered in "good standing"

The overwhelming majority of issues are related to weeds and invasive plants. All of the rain we have gotten has given the Bermuda grass and other weeds an opportunity to go wild. As the summer gets warmer, this is only going to get worse.

There are also several cases where plants have overgrown outside of plots and are blocking the paths. Remember that it's your joint responsibility with your neighbors to maintain these paths.

All inspections are logged and available on your gardener dashboard. You can see the specific criteria on the 5 questions. If your plot failed, there's also a photo available so you have a visual reference.
