Hi Gardeners,

A few important reminders via email in case you're not in the Discord Group:

Garden Meeting: THIS Sat Jan 18, 10 AM at the Sustainable Food Center
Our gardener meetings are not just a time to review and vote on garden business, it's a chance to socialize and exchange tips with other gardners. Please plan to attend these when you can.

Freeze Warning: Water Shutoff Sun ~ Thu
Based on the current forecast, we'll likely turn off the garden water from Sunday (Jan 19) afternoon to Thursday (Jan 23) because of subfreezing temperatures that will extend through those days. Please make plans to water accordingly before then. We'll post updates as the forecast changes on Discord.

Upcoming Plot Inspections: Feb 1 or 2
According to our garden bylaws, the next quarterly plot inspections will take place in Feb. I'd like to complete them the first weekend of the month so this is the two-week advance notice for gardeners to make sure your plots are in good standing.
  1. If you are available to volunteer to help with the inspection process, please email the garden admin address
  2. If you have any concerns or notes you'd like to share, email those in advance.
I'm sending these garden reminders and the garden meeting notes via BCC and the Google group in an attempt to make sure everyone gets crucial updates. Remember that most of our garden communication is now on Discord. If you are not in that community, please join so you don't miss the most current garden conversations.

Thanks,

Corey

Hi Gardeners,

Just to add one more reminder to Corey’s below. Please be sure to leave your water off at the spigot and on at the nozzle so water can drain out of the hose. If you don’t, the water will freeze in the nozzle breaking all the seals leaving it only good for spaying water in your face when you turn it on.

Regards,

Bob
