This weekend you can urge people to support universal healthcare coverage and register them to vote in the next election!

 

Michael Moore's new movie, "SiCKO," is drawing attention to the need for comprehensive health coverage for all Americans. With state leaders considering reform ideas now, we want to organize support for Senate Bill 840, the California Universal Healthcare Act.

 

We're also working to register voters who will elect pro-reform Democrats in 2008!

 

Right now we're looking for volunteers at the United Artists Horton Plaza theater, in the top floor of the mall (475 Horton Plaza, Downtown San Diego).

 

Showtimes for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (6/29 - 7/1 2007) are as follows:

 

10:45am                                4:50pm

11:15am                                7:20pm

1:30pm                                  7:50pm

2:00pm                                  10:15pm

4:20pm                                  10:45pm

 

Volunteers can contact movie-goers (and others in the mall) before and after each screening, making sure they're signed up to vote and handing out literature on SB 840.
