New phal plant on old flower stem

I have a very pleasant problem. About two months ago I cut back a fading bloom stem in the hopes I would get a second set of flowers. Instead as your can see from the attached phot, I got a new plant. When and how should I cut this loose and re-plant it as a new independent orchid?
