Ailing 30+ year old orchid, possibly a brassocattleya. Beginner, need help

Hi,

I inherited a 35+ year old orchid from my Grandpa. I'm very new at this, and it is having some issues and I am lost and afraid to mess it up.

Someone helped me with ID and said Brassocattleya.

I do know it has purple flowers.

I attached some pictures.. Any guidance would be very appreciated.
