Published version SDC 19.02

The program has been pre-tested with more than 10 users. But I recommend making a copy of the c:\Users\...\LwSoft\ folder before installing.

Version 19 does not require a new registration.

The new version number is announced because the entire program has been changed to work with more modern libraries.

The new version will be installed in a different folder (C:\Program Files\LwSoft\SDC19x64\) and does not require uninstalling version 18. After installing version 19, you can continue to use version 18. But it is not recommended to run them at the same time.

The initialization file is now called sdc19.ini and is copied from the version 18 file.

The new graphics system on higher resolution monitors may require you to rethink the size and placement of interface windows.

What's new:

- Speech processor. Allows you to compose and speak SSB macro phrases. See manual: Contest->Macros->SSB->Speech processor.

- developed a profile for DX-Pedition work. See manual Contest->DX-Pedition

- MacOS. The program will require access to the microphone. RIG Audio operation has been improved.

I just tried installing 19.02 on my M2 Mac Studio, and got the error "SDC.app is damaged and can't be opened.  You should move it to the trash."

same here, tried to install it on a MAC PRO, latest OS version and got the message you cannot open the app because this application isnot supported on this MAC.

Maybe something has changed in the latest macOS system... 

I downloaded the file from the link, it came unzipped in the "Downloads" folder, I moved it to the applications folder and it won't run!

Then I downloaded it using the right button (Download and Save as) and it appeared in the "Documents" folder in the archived form. There I unzipped it and moved it to the applications folder. It works fine!

Tried the right click/save link as option: same result. After unzipping and starting the dmg I get an window with SDC.app icon crossed out and when trying to start the app I get the same error message the app cannot be opened because it is not supported.

reinstalled version 18.04 on that same system and that works just fine.

Hi the suggestion sudo xattr -rd com.apple.quarantine /Applications/SDC.app. Doesn't make any difference. The command was accepted/executed after entering my password
but still couldn't start the app. Got the same error message 

You can’t open the application “SDC.app” because this application is not supported on this Mac.

Have not a clue why this happens here.

I was just able to get it to launch on my machine.  When I tried to validate the signature I got this:

 spctl --assess --verbose sdc.app

sdc.app: code has no resources but signature indicates they must be present

So went through the process of removing the signature and resigning it with my Apple ID, notarizing it and all.  Then I ran the 

xattr -r -d com.apple.quarantine sdc.app

Command to remove the quarantine flag.  

Now it will launch but I haven’t done any more testing than that to know if it is fully functional but I would imagine so.

Thanks for the suggestion. Tried it but I still can't start 19.02. Message still the same: "You can’t open the application “SDC.app” because this application is not supported on this Mac.", So... still no clue why does isn't accepted on this mac

This is because your computer uses x86 (Intel) architecture.

I have built version v19.0202 for different architectures.  MacOSx86 - is for Intel processors. MacOSx86+ARM - must support both architectures.

Please check and let me know which version works for you.

The MacOSx86+ARM version worked ok with M4 Mac Air now after I allowed it in settings like other versions.

I had to abandon the x86+ARM architecture because it caused problems with registering microphone access. 

Version 19.0206 is built for the x86 architecture, but this should not cause any problems on M1, M2,....

Please let me know if there are any problems with version 19.0206.

I am addressing to users who use SDC on maxOS. Do you experience any problems with installing the program and with its operation?
I am building a program for Intel architecture. It should work on all processor architectures. Is it necessary to build it for ARM architecture?

Was successfully running ver 17.33 until it stopped working. 

Decided to update to 19 and it will not install. Claims the file is corrupt and should be deleted.

iMac M4, Sequoia 15.6.1

FWIW,Since so many intel Mac programs stopped support I have converted them to Linux to remain useful. 

Most of those programs will not run on the M architecture.

This is not an SDC problem. Hundreds of users work with the program without any problems.

Connect the transceiver to your computer's LAN, make sure everything is working. Then look for the problem in the network devices on your network. Some device, or program is blocking UDP packets.

Sometimes, after a fresh installation of SDC, I find that the app won’t connect to my flex. All I have to do is a restart of my entire shack, including the flex, and then everything seems to go fine. 

Also sometimes all I need to do is to change bands on my radio, and that kicks SDC’s connection into gear.

How to make sure the UDP connection to the transceiver is working:

1. Turn on the transceiver, do not start the SmartSDR program!

2. On the SmartSDR-API tab, enter NickName.

3. Enable Log for the TCP port.

4. Press Connect.

In the log window you should see Discovery protocol packets that arrive on the UDP port. If there are no messages, then you need to find and eliminate the cause of blocking these messages.

Version 19.0308 has been released.

For those who use RIG Audio.

This version features a unique development: shifting the frequency of the receiver and sidetone for CW mode. You can not only split the sound between the left and right ears, but also change the tone. For example, you can lower the tone by 200 Hz in the left ear and raise the tone by 200 Hz in the right ear. This will significantly improve the operator's simultaneous two RX of CW.

You can enable/disable and change the offset in the New QSO window settings and in the DSP panel.
