SDC with IC-9700 ?

to SDC Software Defined Connectors

I am familiar with using SDC with a Flex radio , works very well. Does a Icom 9700 work as effectively with SDC ? My 9700 arrives tomorrow and I thought SDC and the 9700 would be interesting for VHF-UHF contests .

SDC works with SmartSDR-API and TCI interfaces. I'm afraid the IC-9700 is not on that list. )
