Skimmer Running but Not Decoding Much

I am new on Thetis, and as such I carefully followed Yuri's suggested video on setting up SDC and TCI for CW Skimming. After a few bumps, I did get what appears to be a functional process but only a few stations are decoded, even during a contest. 1. For the input/output of VAC 1 I recycled a couple of random existing VB audio cables that were present on my system. Does Thetis have any "built in" cables that should be used instead? Do these cable require any specific configuration?

2. Should the TCI client be connecting automatically when start up Thetis? Seems like I need to manually connect the client and start the Skimmer. 

3. Are there any other steps that I may have overlooked as a new Thetis user? Any important settings in the Transmit Profile or on the VAC1 page.?

Any help appreciated!

Hi,

I have setup SDC with Thetis with my HL2.  Skimmer is working with TCi however  I am seeing the waterfall mirroring the IQ audio above and below the tuned frequency.  It is a mirror image of what I see above is also below the turned frequency.  

Does anyone know why this is occurring and how to fix the issue.  Are there recommendations on how to setup Virtual Audio Cables or is this an issue with Thetis IQ out?

If you see mirrored stripes, it means that the skimmer is not receiving the IQ audio stream.

Hi,

I tried the same setup as described in the video on a separate PC and it worked perfectly.   I also installed SDC and Thetis on a Laptop and the Skimmer SDC) worked.   So the issue was with my PC.   I will reinstall windows.   But it is working fine on 2 out of 3 PC's.
