New to Group and SDC
Trying to setup Skimmer with new Flex 8600
In the SmartSDR API tab, can't get the UDP Port to connect. Have the 2 blue
plugs showing not connected. Changed port number to 4996 as shown in the
video but still no luck.
Any suggestions or changes to get me past this step?

Hi,

how to make SDC work 'split' using two slices of Flex-6400,
please?

I am quite positive
something like a 'DXped mode' was mentioned here some time ago,
but I cannot find anything about that anywhere in the SDC Help files...

Your kind help would be greatly appreciated...

Best regards,

The "Split" mode is designed only for use in expeditions.
It is not necessary for working in contests, therefore this mode will be developed for general use in the future. Currently, you can use two New QSO windows.

Yuri,

great thanks for Your kind reply.

It often happens that some attractive stations work 'split' also in contests,
so I wanted to know it is possible to quickly use this mode for the purpose.
Apparently, it is not possible...

Best regards,
Alec

Hi Yuri,

That split is not used in contests is not completely true. In SSB contests to work USA stations on 40 meters and 80 meters split is often used.
The US station for instance calls on 7222 and listens on 7175 and his own frequency. The same for 80 meters. So split is needed in these cases to work them as we are not allowed above 7200 and 3800 kHz.

It is another aspect which is absolutely true,
indeed, Yuri...
