I'm great fan and propagating SDC in with friends a it is magnificiant piece of software!
I have both SDC 18 and SDC 19 installed.
SDC18 works fine - COM Spider for CAT (FTDX10) , SKM+TELNET+RIGCTRL+RSP1 even though I don't understand how RigCtl works BUT
SDC 19 (previous and newest) keeps crashing 30s to 3 min after launch. It did happen before, I've deleted all settings but after a while configuring and reconfiguring it came back, SO THE 4 QUESTIONS ARE:

1. where does v 18 stoire config ?
2. where does v 19 store data config ?
3. how to erase all data/config of v19 without affecting v18 ?
4. is it safe/intended to export v18 config and import into v19 ?

I'll try a fresh install and see if it works that way

The configuration files are located in the folder c:\users\...\LwSoft
1. The configuration file for version 18 is named comspider.ini
2. The configuration file for version 19 is named sdc19.ini
3. Delete (or move to another folder) the sdc19.ini file.
4. If the sdc19.ini file does not exist, then when version 19 is launched, all settings will be automatically retrieved from the comspider.ini file.

I don't know why the program crashed. I can run the troubleshooting steps again. Please send me the file: see the manual -> How to send the settings folder to the developer

I tried contest this weekend and it was close
To a disaster.  I never got the 2nd kbd or b slice to work properly.  Anyone care to share a set of working configurations for a 6600m  with 2 keyboards in SO2R mode?
I am running version 3..7.4 firmware if it makes a difference

looks like sth with saving config in v19 is wrong . deleteting sdc19.ini initialises v19 fine from v18 and furthermore now SKM/TELNET/RIGCTL are ON from the start (before I had to turn them ON each time).
I'll report on further development and I will let u know and send you ini if it happens  agn.
(is it possible that v19 aborts when somebody else opens ini to review/scan it? )

In SDC, the up/down buttons can only be assigned to SpotList windows, which are the main navigation tools.
BandMap is used to get an overview of the situation around the operating frequency, nothing more.
Of course, you can click on a call sign in BandMap to select a station.

A few more stupid Qs….  Can an M version be run without using the SDR software?  Any disadvantage?

For RTTY ops,  can I tie in multiple decoders ?

This should work. Some users work that way.

For RTTY ops,  can I tie in multiple decoders ?
I don't understand what you mean. There's a skimmer that can run any number of them.
