What is the process for new releases of SDC?

I am trying to understand the new release processes.  When I go to the Check new Version information there is always a Latest version and Test version. I noticed that both versions have a date and timestamp.  So for the latest version does that contain the previous Test version and the new Test version will become the new Latest version and the v19.06 stays constant, I presume until there is a major update? I assume the date/timestamp is compile date/time?  When should I download a new latest version? When the v19.06 changes or the date/timestamp changes.

BTW: SDC is quite a sophisticated piece of software and works well with my SMARTSDR.

Phil, a major (cumulative) release is released, for example, 19.06. Then changes are made to the program, and minor releases are issued, such as 19.0605, 19.0610, and so on. Previous versions, including version 19.06, do not contain the changes that were included in version 19.0610. The release date for the cumulative version contained an error; I’ve corrected it, thank you!
It is always recommended to install the latest test version, such as 19.0612.
