Yuri,

re:

There are operators who for any reason give exchanges which are not accepted
by SDC as valid.

In ESM, with the exchange in its field, upon using Alt+Return
I would like that macro to mimic the function of the second stroke of <Return,
i.e., send my exchange or TU and log the QSO.

Or, is there any other short key which does that,
please?

Best regards,
Alec

Alec,

SDC validates the Exchange for you - why would you knowingly store away a bad exchange that will get you penalised at adjudication?

In EU-PSK-DX, I had only one stations send a wrong exchange, he sent ILOMI when he should have sent ITLOMI. I forced this into my log and fixed it later when things quietened down a bit. Later, I worked the same station on another band and he had fixed his exchange by that time :-)

You can change Alt+Enter to any other hotkey.

Martin,

it is operator's decision what to do with a bad exchange.
e.g., there was OR90AL whose exchange was rejected by SDC.
There were some EU stations who kept giving Numbers instead of the Codes.

I simply ask for giving me the possibility of making the decision without
compromising my rate.

I feel that just because <Alt_Return> malfunctioned in ESM, I have lost
three QSOs due to the fact no exchange was finally logged.

Best regards,
Alec

Yuri,

apparently, another misunderstanding.

Is there any other short key,
which when in ESM,
LOGS THE QSO WITH A RECEIVED INVALID EXCHANGE
AND TRANSMITS THE SECOND ESM STROKE'S SEQUENCE,
please?

Best regards,
Alec

                    in RUN:   F3

Alec

Yuri,

With me,
Alt+Enter does not log the Received Exchange.

It logs the QSO but the  RCVD cell is empty in the log.
I expect it to log the QSO with the Received Exchange
and transmit F2 or F3 depending on whether I am in S&P or RUN.

Now,
Alt+Enter transmits F8 (agn ?)

Best regards,
Alec

I saw that there is a problem for the case where no exchange number is entered at all. I'll think about it...
Alec, try to report the problem next time so that we don't have to look for it for days.
