In Luna Service Release 2 (4.4.2) when using http://sdbg.github.io/p2/ to install new software i get this error after accepting the license agreement:

An error occurred during the org.eclipse.equinox.internal.p2.engine.phases.CheckTrust phase.
session context was:(profile=epp.package.jee, phase=org.eclipse.equinox.internal.p2.engine.phases.CheckTrust, operand=, action=).
Error reading signed content.
error in opening zip file

The installation aborts. Is there a workaround? Please advise.

I suggest you download a fresh copy of Eclipse Luna 4.4.2 and then try to install in that fresh copy.
If it succeeds, then it must be something related to your other Luna installation.

I have received a couple other such complaints of this type, but I was never able to reproduce this behavior locally.

Thanks for the feedback. Is there an alternate way to install that doesn't use the Eclipse plugin manager?  I've got a few other plugins that i'd rather not have to reinstall and configure again in a fresh copy of Luna, if possible.

I removed all <artifact/> blocks in the artifacts.xml root file that contained a reference to SDBG and tried to install again.  This time it downloads the files from your repository but then gives the error:

An error occurred while collecting items to be installed
session context was:(profile=epp.package.jee, phase=org.eclipse.equinox.internal.p2.engine.phases.Collect, operand=, action=).
Connection reset

Any thoughts on this?

I clicked on the link in the post above and the jar download fails in my chrome browser.  Upon clicking it again i get the message:
Gateway Anti-Virus Alert

This request is blocked by the Firewall Gateway Anti-Virus Service. Name: Sality.AT_7 (Trojan)

Perhaps the location i'm at has a router with anti-virus which is blocking the jar?  I'll try again from a different location.
