We have safely arrived in Georgetown, SC after almost 400 miles on back roads of Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina.  The roads were amazing and we made very good time.  We had lunch in Polacksville, NC at Trent Restaurant that advertizes Home Cooked Meals. This was the only restaurant on my GPS within 10 miles but it was a hidden treasure and if you ever find yourself on Route 17 in NC, you should not miss it.  I am not sure about the neck bones, though.

Off to Savannah in the morning.   I will send you an update from there.

Subject: Ride to Remember Day 1 Update

Well the 1st day of riding is over and we are relaxing in the hotel on the beach in Virginia Beach.  The official ride started with Rabbi Joe meeting us for breakfast and performing a small service that included a traveler’s prayer.

It was a great day of riding that was highlighted by the last few miles over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and Tunnel system.  All in all, it was 280 miles and, for Galina and I, long 12 hours on the road.

Tomorrow early morning we are off to Georgetown, SC.  I will send you an update when we get there.

Thank you all for your support.  With your help, Star of David Bikers are bringing with them almost $4,000.

Take care and good night.

Louis
