Whether or not you want to discuss Christmas, I hope that you've had a
good one and a Happy New Year.
I'm including a file link to a poem "Safely Through". Some poems
stand by themselves and do not need to be put to music, they would not
necessarily be enhanced. What do you think? Does adding music (if
you get it right) always enhance the words of a poem?
God bless.

Nice piece of writing.

Music does not necessarily enhance the words of a  poem. Music will probably give it another effect which can be good if the music is well written or not so good if the music is not very appropriate. Reading, singing or listening affect our mind differently and people have different preferences. They can be both very good but one cannot override the other.
