Subject: Spring Into Praise - Song Solicitation

The Spring Into Praise™ (SIP) 2010 Choir Festival is now soliciting
songs for its July 2, 2010 live CD/DVD recording to be held in
Atlanta, GA.

This landmark event is being hosted by Dr. Carlton P. Byrd and the
Atlanta Berean SDA Church.

The Spring Into Praise Choir Festival Mission Statement is threefold:
1. To bring together Adventist music organizations (Min. of Music,
choir directors, choir members and praise teams/dancers) for
networking, collective learning and sharing of musical strategy and
fundamentals.

2. To allow the choir member to be part of a 1st class mass choir
which covers all music genres serving as a catalyst for them to better
serve their local church.

3. To invest in the future musical greats by providing scholarships
to students with acumen for the arts
The following SDA Choirs/Directors have confirmed that they will
participate in the Spring Into Praise™ 2010 Choir Festival: Atlanta
Mass (David Trofort/Dale Brown/Bruce Seawood), Madison Mission (Wayne
Bucknor), Bermuda Mass (Owen Simons), St. Louis Mass (Pastor Cryston
Josiah), Detroit/Indy Mass (Dr. G. Ian Fisher-Curley/Barbara Bryant),
and Nashville/Memphis Mass (Claude Jones/Gale Jones-Murphy/Donna
Harrison).

choirs, as well as several songs from the combined/mass choir. We
are seeking songs to be recorded from impassioned songwriters who are
looking for a national platform on which to share their God given gift
with the world. All mass choir songs submitted:
1. Must be original. You are solely responsible for the legalities
of protecting your material. We expect that the person making a
submission is the author, copyright holder, or someone with power of
attorney who can legally give us permission to record the song.

2. Must be suitable for a mass choir.

3. Songs to be considered for the recording must be received with
lyrics and an audio file (i.e. wav file, CD’s, MP3) of the song(s)
sung in three or four-part harmony; or on printed sheet music. Music
accompaniment is not needed, but strongly suggested.

4. Must note the name and/or author of the music; and the name and/
or author of the lyrics (if different).
