The request for Tally data as of March 2026 is both relevant and necessary. Audit signing is not a procedural formality—it carries financial and legal accountability. Without ensuring continuity, validation, and completeness of records, signing the March 2025 audit report would be irresponsible.
The explanations provided for not sharing the Tally backup are neither convincing nor acceptable. Practical options have already been highlighted:
If there are technical limitations, we are willing to assist. Continued resistance, despite multiple viable solutions, only raises serious concerns regarding transparency and intent.
While this is being addressed, please confirm if there is any constraint in sharing the following:

The suggestion to proceed with signing immediately or to “look for alternatives” is noted. However, any attempt to bypass due process will be viewed as an effort to dilute accountability and will inevitably invite further scrutiny from residents.

Don’t you think signing an audit report without verifying the financial details is not appropriate? Signing carries responsibility, and proper verification is essential.
I am attaching the pamphlet shared during your election, where “financial transparency and resident participation” were clearly promised. The current actions are not reflecting the promises made during the election campaign.
Also, it is being observed that unless explicitly asked, information is not being shared with residents. Key decisions like lawyer(why?) and auditor(who?) appointments are being taken without proper consultation with residents. Since these involve residents’ funds, transparency is expected.
Not sure what are the other surprises planned this year ? As per your commitment, transparency and resident participation are expected, especially in vendor additions and removals, where greater scrutiny is important.
Kindly ensure the required data is shared so that the audit report can be verified and signed responsibly.

It seems you may not have fully understood my previous email. I clearly mentioned that you can book an appointment with the Accountant and Association to review the 2024-2025 audit data as part of our transparency efforts—no individual backups are provided. The 2025-2026 data is also accessible through the Accountant with Association support.
As part of our commitment to transparency, since we came to the association, we have uploaded all vendor agreements and monthly financial statements (from historical records to the present) to MyGate.
Regarding the society's legal advisor, we shared the details via MyGate and Auditor details we announced in the recent GBM MOM email,all documents uploaded to mygate.
I kindly request that your team sign the original copy of the previous audit report at your earliest convenience.

We are unable to understand the change in position regarding sharing Tally data with residents.

Thank you for confirming that you have no objection to the following observations, which have been verified by previous Association members, the accountant, and two Chartered Accountants:
Previous Association members have expressed their willingness to sign the audit report hard copies with these observations formally recorded. Please note that the above observations are relevant for the 2025 audit report.
Please arrange a meeting with the Association's lawyer at the earliest so that the audit report hard copies can be signed.
If the Association intends to pursue recovery of the approximately ₹80 lakhs, please share the lawyer's contact details immediately.
Residents are paying approximately ₹2.5 lakhs/year towards legal fees, yet the lawyer's contact details have not been disclosed even to all association members or residents.

I am not sure whether the above facts would legally qualify as forgery.
However, you may recall that a similar concern was raised in 2024 regarding the eatery shop agreement. As I understand it, the agreement bears your signature dated 26 May, whereas the notarization date on the document was 22 May.
Also can you explain why you are unwilling to sign Page 16 of the audit report 2024.

Let us review the facts and the current status of the matter:
Who is currently holding the hard copy of the audit report?
The current Association is in possession of the hard copy of the 2025 Audit Report, which was signed and handed over by the Auditor upon receipt of the audit fees.

When did the current Association request the previous Association to sign the hard copy?
The request was made on 28 March 2026 via email with the subject line: “Signature on the Audit Papers.”
Why was there a delay in signing the hard copy?
The signing process was delayed due to the ongoing review being conducted by the current Association and the Finance Committee.
What was requested by the former President, and what was the Association’s response?


What are the current issues?
What are the next steps?
Please arrange a meeting with the association lawyer as you promised and we are ready to complete the signature formalities as you requested.

As stated in that communication, if "nothing is hidden", and if you are able to locate the lawyer's email address or phone number in the agreement shared in mygate, please share a screenshot with us. Here is the link to mygate document - Lawyer agreement
However, the current issue is different and relates to the 2024 Audit Report, where your signature is missing on the page containing the Fixed Deposit figures.
Let me restate the question clearly.

Please confirm which of the following applies:
a. The value is incorrect, and therefore you chose not to sign that page.
b. The value is correct, but you inadvertently omitted your signature on that page.
c. You were unable to verify the accuracy of the value and therefore did not sign that page.
d. You do not wish to provide a direct answer to this question.
I request that you respond specifically to the above question without further diversion.
