As discussed in the GBM, the previous Association members are ready to sign the audit report hard copy. However, the signing has been delayed due to the ongoing review by the current Association and the Finance Committee.

To proceed with and complete the pending audit signature formalities, we are awaiting the following details:

1. Tally data as on 31st March 2026
2. Report from the Finance Committee formed by the current Association
3. Association lawyer’s email ID and contact number

We request you to kindly share the above details at the earliest to enable timely closure of the audit process.

Anil, can you show any relevant connection between signing the March 2025 Audit report and requiring Mar 2026 Tally data. ( It was communicated already that Audited Tally data is available in the association mailbox, and can be retrieved as and when needed. MyGate is not supporting tally format. Can't share backup via mails to limited individuals, DL includes many people who left SDA)

Do let us know if you are not ready to sign, we can look for alternatives rather than spending time on unproductive arguments and discussion.

First, we reiterate that communication from the Association should carry individual accountability. Please avoid generic signatures and respond with your name/designation going forward.

The request for Tally data as of March 2026 is both relevant and necessary. Audit signing is not a procedural formality—it carries financial and legal accountability. Without ensuring continuity, validation, and completeness of records, signing the March 2025 audit report would be irresponsible.

The explanations provided for not sharing the Tally backup are neither convincing nor acceptable. Practical options have already been highlighted:

• Sharing via ZIP through MyGate (Or send to my email id)
• Providing a Google Drive link (shared via MyGate)
• Handing over a copy through physical media such as a pen drive

If there are technical limitations, we are willing to assist. Continued resistance, despite multiple viable solutions, only raises serious concerns regarding transparency and intent.

While this is being addressed, please confirm if there is any constraint in sharing the following:

1. Finance Committee report
2. Contact details of the Association’s legal counsel

 

These are fundamental to completing the audit process and cannot be reasonably withheld.

 The suggestion to proceed with signing immediately or to “look for alternatives” is noted. However, any attempt to bypass due process will be viewed as an effort to dilute accountability and will inevitably invite further scrutiny from residents.

 We remain ready to proceed with signing once all requested information is transparently shared. Any further delay at this stage rests entirely on the current Association’s unwillingness to provide the required details.

No backup service will be provided to individuals. Every resident has the right to schedule an appointment with the Accountant in the Association room, where our Accountant will assist you. For any unanswered questions, our Treasurer will help, and other association members can be involved if needed.

Regarding the Finance Committee: Only two members were nominated, but they moved out of the society without completing any work.

Our Accountant is on leave until the 28th, so please book your appointment for next weekend. Society legal agreement documents and lawyer details have already been uploaded to MyGate.

Dear President,

Don’t you think signing an audit report without verifying the financial details is not appropriate? Signing carries responsibility, and proper verification is essential.

I am attaching the pamphlet shared during your election, where “financial transparency and resident participation” were clearly promised. The current actions are not reflecting the promises made during the election campaign.

Also, it is being observed that unless explicitly asked, information is not being shared with residents. Key decisions like lawyer(why?) and auditor(who?) appointments are being taken without proper consultation with residents. Since these involve residents’ funds, transparency is expected. 

Not sure what are the other surprises planned this year ? As per your commitment, transparency and resident participation are expected, especially in vendor additions and removals, where greater scrutiny is important.

Kindly ensure the required data is shared so that the audit report can be verified and signed responsibly.

It seems you may not have fully understood my previous email. I clearly mentioned that you can book an appointment with the Accountant and Association to review the 2024-2025 audit data as part of our transparency efforts—no individual backups are provided. The 2025-2026 data is also accessible through the Accountant with Association support.

As part of our commitment to transparency, since we came to the association, we have uploaded all vendor agreements and monthly financial statements (from historical records to the present) to MyGate. 

Regarding the society's legal advisor, we shared the details via MyGate and Auditor details we announced in the recent GBM MOM email,all documents uploaded to mygate.

I kindly request that your team sign the original copy of the previous audit report at your earliest convenience.

We are unable to understand the change in position regarding sharing Tally data with residents.

Earlier, you had cited technical limitations in uploading the data to MyGate, and assistance was also offered to resolve this by previous association members. However, the current stance appears to be that the data cannot be shared at all on MyGate/email.

Please clarify:

• Why Tally data cannot be shared with residents
• The reason for this change in position

Also, we are unable to find any email or phone details in the legal counsel agreement. Kindly share a screenshot of the relevant section for clarity.

Why didn't you take backups during your tenure and upload them to MyGate? Also, why do you object to booking an appointment with the Accountant and Association to review the 2024-2025 audit data—which your team signed on the draft copy—comparing it against the original copy and data? Once all numbers are cleared, you can sign the original.

Let me keep this simple for you.

We requested the Tally backup to independently verify the audit data. It is not always feasible for us to sit with the accountant due to our schedules, so access to the backup will allow us to review it at our convenience.

Before proceeding with the signing, we would also like to consult the society’s legal counsel. We assume the lawyer has been appointed for society-related matters, with fees covered through maintenance charges collected from residents . However, the contact details are not available on MyGate. Kindly share them at the earliest, or guide us on where to find them in Mygate.

Can you please clarify , what is stopping you to share these info? Not sure why this is being treated like a secret????

Are you saying the 2024-2025 audit draft you signed wasn't done properly? If so, you should have taken a backup during your tenure.

Externally, no Tally backups were provided to individuals. Still, I'm requesting that you sit with the accountant and Association to review the original audit copy we received from your auditor.

There is no secrets from our side, Association always sharing all the information to residents, you no need to worry.

You still haven’t addressed the key questions raised earlier:

• Why can’t Tally data be shared with residents?
• Why can’t the legal counsel’s email ID be shared with residents?

While transparency is being emphasized, the following basic details remain undisclosed:

• Tally data as of March 2026

• Legal counsel email ID
• FY 2026 income tax working sheet
• Corrected MIS for the last quarters

This is a clear contradiction between what is being stated and what is being practiced.

We request a clear, item-wise response explaining the reasons for withholding each of the above.

Reiterating, MyGate is not supporting the tally backup format. 

Mail DL still has people who have moved out or sold flats in SDA. Won't be sharing via mail or shared drive with a select few residents. 

If you are not willing to sign the final copy of which you signed the draft to present in AGM please let us know we can look for alternates.

Also, please explain the relevancy of tally backup 2026 with signing Mar 2025 Audit report?

Praveen, since you are advocating for transparency can you confirm below:

1. When was the 1st time bank statements were uploaded in MyGate?

2. When were FD statements uploaded in MyGate for the 1st time?

3. WHen were Water testing reports uploaded in MyGate for the 1st time?

4. When was monthly invoices uploaded in MyGate for the 1st time?

Hi Prasath,

The Tally backup is already available in ZIP format, and MyGate supports uploading ZIP files.

The attached screenshot clearly shows that the accountant has shared the Tally backup (ZIP file) with you. You have also acknowledged that MyGate allows ZIP file uploads.

Given this, there does not appear to be any technical limitation preventing the tally upload.

To avoid further back-and-forth, please explicitly clarify whether the financial details will not be shared with residents.

Praveen, I tried compressing the file twice and was able to upload. It is under the Financial details folder in MyGate. 

So while using, you may need to extract twice 1st it will be zip format 2nd one will be .rar format. You may need 3rd party software to extract .rar format.

Hi President,

Despite repeated requests, the latest Tally backup was not shared with residents. Thanks for sharing the last year's Tally data.

Based on our review, we have identified serious discrepancies for the period March 2024 to August 2024, which was not under our tenure. Notably, Prasath (current Treasurer) was serving as Secretary, and Krishna (current Joint Secretary) was serving as President during that time. You may verify these observations with them.

1. Maintenance charges reported to residents appear to be lower than ( approx. 80 Lakhs) the figures recorded in Tally . As a resident, I would like to understand whether a similar situation exists for the current year as well. Therefore, please share the latest Tally backup with residents.
2. The corpus fund deposit values on Page 16 of the FY 2023–24 Audit Report appears incorrect. This page is also unsigned by the current Treasurer, although he has signed all other pages.

As discussed, we will record these observations while signing the audit report. These issues have been highlighted multiple times but remain unaddressed.

Please arrange a meeting with the Association's lawyer at the earliest to formally document these concerns and complete the audit signing process.

Details are provided here: 

During March 2024 to August 2024 period, the Association had communicated maintenance charges of 4.81 and 4.94 in MIS. However, these figures do not align with the audited financials (as per Audit, these figures are 7.06 and 6.78). 

This can be due to two possible scenarios:

• Approximately ₹80 lakhs may have been overpaid to vendors, or
• Expenses may have been underreported in the MIS, resulting in artificially lower maintenance charges.

We request you to coordinate with Prasath and Krishna and verify which of the above scenarios is accurate, along with detailed supporting documentation.

Preveen — these concerns about the MIS report for March–August 2024 and the 2023–24 audit should have been raised last year. As Vice President and Treasurer at the time, you could have verified the issues with the previous Association Team, pursued resolution if they were unresponsive, and informed the residents.

You and your colleagues raised this same matter last year; Prasath advised filing a case to recover the amount, but no action was taken by you and your team. Now you are bringing it up again.

If you were serious about addressing it, you should have worked with Vijay and Sundar, who served as Treasurer during that period(March 2024-August 2024).

We will not share the unaudited tally at this time.Once the auditor validates, we will upload the current tally to myGate. We won't take accountability of uncertified entries.

Current association along with all residents have seen the xerox signed Audit copy during Sep 2025 AGM. You mean to say that document was forged one and you didn't sign that? 

If you signed that, did you sign without verifying all the data? As now you are saying you want to verify.

Thank you for confirming that you have no objection to the following observations, which have been verified by previous Association members, the accountant, and two Chartered Accountants:

 

1. Maintenance charges reported to residents appear to be approximately ₹80 lakhs lower than the figures recorded in Tally for the period March–August 2024, resulting in artificially lower maintenance charges.
2. The corpus fund deposit values shown on Page 16 of the FY 2023–24 Audit Report appear to be incorrect. In addition, this page does not bear the signature of the current Treasurer, whereas all other pages of the report are signed by him.

 

Previous Association members have expressed their willingness to sign the audit report hard copies with these observations formally recorded. Please note that the above observations are relevant for the 2025 audit report.

 

Please arrange a meeting with the Association's lawyer at the earliest so that the audit report hard copies can be signed.

 

If the Association intends to pursue recovery of the approximately ₹80 lakhs, please share the lawyer's contact details immediately.

 

Residents are paying approximately ₹2.5 lakhs/year towards legal fees, yet the lawyer's contact details have not been disclosed even to all association members or residents.

However, you may recall that a similar concern was raised in 2024 regarding the eatery shop agreement. As I understand it, the agreement bears your signature dated 26 May, whereas the notarization date on the document was 22 May.

 

Also can you explain why you are unwilling to sign Page 16 of the audit report 2024.

Praveen, we don't have the original signed Audit copy for 2025. Since its society property can you handover that to the association at earliest so we can proceed with the current year's audit (maybe details will come out in the current audit as to why the original copy is being hidden and not shared). 

BTW, for your information we don't give bank signatory authority to the Secretary as there may be conflict of interest. For segregation of duty, as a Secretary I never had signatory authority for finance.

On the date mismatch, I had clearly provided the timeline and told you to check with the Notary person, which I am sure would not have been checked conveniently. 

Also, you never responded to Why you were in the committee when you were the one who complained. . Also, never explained why all relevant stakeholders were not called together to discuss. Neither any response on why you declined the independent RO investigation on that matter. Still a lot of open questions.......

Better not to imply anything. Can you show me where I mentioned I'm ok with anything? I demand you clearly point out where I stated I have no objection. The reality is you could have discussed these issues with the previous association members when you were part of the Association last year. Instead, you and your team remained completely inactive throughout the entire year, and only now suddenly woke up to raise concerns about 2023-2024.

Is it on the same basis you're saying 80L is gone, which you told last year but took no action? Many residents followed up with you guys so many times seeking further investigation. The response which we got its not easy to prove, So you think we should trust you now? Because of you and your team incapability, we lost 18+ months to address this issue.

At the very minimum, you should have raised these concerns at the last AGM in September 2025 before the handover to us. You were Treasurer — I expect you discussed these matters with Sundar (March-September 2024 Treasurer), yet you failed to inform residents about ANY concerns.

If you and your team already knew about these issues last year itself, why did you deliberately hide them? Explain CLEARLY what your intention was behind this concealment. This is unacceptable.

If you still claim to have concerns,We shall discuss internally and see if we can propose a forensic investigation on this matter. Based on residents' poll, we can take further action.

Meanwhile, submit the original signed audit copy to the association immediately. The one we have is a printout/xerox on white paper which holds no weight.

Additionally, the Legal lawyer serves the Society — verifying Vendor agreements (JLL/Brightstone, NAC, Tauris, Carbon Black) and new vendor agreements (Laundry, Medical shop, etc.). The Legal lawyer is NOT for personal propaganda.

Why it may qualify as Forgery. Look at the GBM Agenda, it states Audit report will be shared (Point 1).

MoM states the Audit report was shared, discussed on the report as well (point 4 and 5). 

Now, the claim is we will sign only when we talk to Lawyer. Then who signed the Audit report that was presented to all in GBM? Was that a different report presented then, if no then where is the Original signed copy? Was that report even received from the Auditor?

Let us review the facts and the current status of the matter:

Who is currently holding the hard copy of the audit report?

The current Association is in possession of the hard copy of the 2025 Audit Report, which was signed and handed over by the Auditor upon receipt of the audit fees.

When did the current Association request the previous Association to sign the hard copy?

The request was made on 28 March 2026 via email with the subject line: “Signature on the Audit Papers.”

Why was there a delay in signing the hard copy?

1. Response: The Association stated that the lawyer’s contact details could not be shared; however, a meeting could be arranged.

   The latest Tally backup has not yet been shared, despite earlier assurances. Technical issues in uploading the documents are resolved by previous association members.

What are the next steps?

• The previous Association members have requested only the following actions:
• Arrangement of a meeting with the Association’s lawyer and Facilitation of the signing of the hard copy of the audit report currently in the custody of the current Association.
• While signing the hard copy, the findings from the audit should be appropriately recorded and acknowledged.

Please arrange a meeting with the association lawyer as you promised and we are ready to complete the signature formalities as you requested.

So process was not followed and any random paper was signed without review and completed handover formalities. 

This kept current association and residents in dark. 

This is breach of trust by elected governing members.

As you marked all Residents to the email, Can you explain these following points for everyone's understanding.

1. The Audit Report in Question is for the year 2024-2025. Why do you need the tally data for 31-Mar-2026. 

2. Finance Committee formed by the current Association(Started Sep-2025). How is the finance committee report related to your tenure ?

3. Association Lawyer details, How is this related to this matter ?   

BTW, what happened to the Finance Committee created during your tenure. Where is the report ? Find the Mygate Notice Incase you don't remember.

This is a formal email to negate the misinformation being spread. (Last line which states all association members are not aware of contact details of ph3 lawyer). With full responsibility I say this that all association members have the contact details at their disposal before we onboarded the lawyer. 

@PRAVEEN T , now you should name which association member you spoke to who didn't have the details. If they were reluctant to share it with you that doesn't mean you can blame it on us. So we request you to stop any further baseless allegations on association.

The same question was raised earlier. Please see the response from the Association.

 

The response stated that all information has been shared in mygate and that "nothing has been hidden."

 

As stated in that communication, if "nothing is hidden", and if you are able to locate the lawyer's email address or phone number in the agreement shared in mygate, please share a screenshot with us. Here is the link to mygate document - Lawyer agreement

 

However, the current issue is different and relates to the 2024 Audit Report, where your signature is missing on the page containing the Fixed Deposit figures.

 

Let me restate the question clearly.

 

The Fixed Deposit value reported in the document appears to be higher than what can be reconciled with the underlying financial records and supporting data.

 

Please confirm which of the following applies:

 

a. The value is incorrect, and therefore you chose not to sign that page.

b. The value is correct, but you inadvertently omitted your signature on that page.

c. You were unable to verify the accuracy of the value and therefore did not sign that page.

d. You do not wish to provide a direct answer to this question.

 

I request that you respond specifically to the above question without further diversion.

Hi Prasath,

At Wing 48, we have 2 Wing-level representatives whom we normally approach to address any issues or concerns. After the last GBM, I requested the lawyer's contact details from them, but they informed me that they did not have that information.

If the details have since been shared with the representatives, I am currently out of station and will be returning tomorrow morning. I will check with them again as soon as I am back.

I hope this will not cause any inconvenience if they share details with us. 

The purpose of reaching out to the appointed lawyer is to seek clarification and validate our genuine concerns regarding the audit signing and related matters.

I had told them that I dont know and dont have details.  

For clarity, was aware of the lawyer's contact details from his email signature. I chose not to disclose them and responded accordingly.

That decision was intentional and based on respecting the communication boundaries at the time. Because we were not willing to share with them hence i have told like that.

I do not share someone's personal contact details unless there is clear authorization to do so.

Now they asking me again, can I share it ??

Why do you want to drag this matter further when an Association member has already confirmed the facts? Please don’t let ego influence the discussion. If there is any mistake in the maintainance calculation in your tenure , please acknowledge it and close the topic decently.

Also, allow us to consult with the Association’s lawyer for clarification and bring this matter to a conclusion.
