All,

The duly elected Managing Committee has been making sincere efforts to maintain and upgrade the Society’s aging infrastructure, carry out essential repairs, and optimize maintenance costs all within ₹5.8 per sq. ft. charges, as compared to ₹7 per sq. ft. during the previous tenure in the best interest of the Society.

All decisions taken by the Managing Committee have been made collectively, transparently and solely in the interest of the residents. The Managing Committee and/or its members, either collectively or individually, have not taken any action or decision against any resident on the basis of caste/creed/ community/ gender and all decisions have been applied uniformly and without discrimination to all residents.

However, certain actions taken in the discharge of our official duties have resulted in Committee members being summoned to the police station and facing threats of legal proceedings under special statutory provisions. These developments have caused significant personal and professional distress. Attempts to arm-twist or intimidate the Managing Committee by targeting its members with false, baseless, or motivated allegations are most unfortunate and are strongly deprecated.

While we have voluntarily invested our personal time and effort to keep maintenance costs lower for the benefit of all residents, it is disheartening to face such situations. As residents ourselves, we believe that even if the maintenance were in the range of ₹7 to ₹8 per sq. ft., it would not justify Committee members being subjected to police complaints or legal harassment arising from the discharge of bona fide responsibilities.

In light of this, and to seek appropriate legal advice while safeguarding our rights and responsibilities, majority of the Managing Committee members have decided to proceed on a temporary sabbatical with immediate effect, pending further review.

During this period, only limited and essential responsibilities will be undertaken to ensure continuity of critical services and basic financial operations. No new policy decisions or non-essential administrative actions will be taken.

Residents willing to volunteer and assume interim responsibilities are welcome to come forward. A structured handover will be facilitated in accordance with applicable bye-laws and statutory requirements.

We regret any inconvenience this may cause and request your understanding and cooperation.
