Hi Association,
As per MyGate records, the maintenance charges per sq. ft. during each association tenure are summarized below for comparison:

From the above data:
  • The average maintenance charge in the current tenure is already approximately ₹0.6 higher than the previous tenure.
  • Compared to 2023–2024, the current average is nearly ₹2 higher per sq. ft., despite earlier being managed at around ₹4.6 by a team including current treasurer.
In this context, could you please clarify:
  1. What specific expenses have increased between 2023–2024 and 2025–2026 that justify this rise?
  2. Was the capital/corpus fund utilized during 2023–2024 to maintain the lower average maintenance charges?



As per the MyGate notice published by the current association, in addition to the maintenance charge of ₹6/sq. ft., other components such as backfill and advance tax have been included.
  • An amount of ₹0.5/sq. ft. has been collected towards advance tax, totaling approximately ₹9 lakhs.
  • However, this amount cannot be found in the expense details (MIS) for the months of September, October, November.
In this regard, could you please clarify:
  • Where has this ₹9 lakh been utilized?
  • Why is it not reflected in the Q3 expense (MIS) statement?
A transparent clarification on these points would be helpful for all residents.

I would also like to seek clarification regarding your sabbatical status. Could you please confirm whether you are currently on sabbatical, and if not, provide an update on who among the team is on sabbatical ?

Also, it would be helpful if you could clarify certain financial details. Specifically, we would like to understand where the ₹9 lakhs collected from residents in October as advance tax is reflected in the MIS

Praveen,

Since you have shared data to the group, it is only fair we look at the actual responsibility of those costs rather than just the calendar quarters.

1. On Avg Maintenance: If we align the expenses with the tenure in which they were actually initiated and managed (shifting Q3 to the previous association’s bucket where it belongs), the average maintenance charge for your tenure rises significantly, while ours remains stable. I have attached a corrected sheet below for the residents' benefit. It is easy to twist data, but the timing of expenditure doesn’t lie.

2. Personal Queries: Regarding your comments on my sabbatical or the "10 plants" - I am here, the work is being done, and the results will speak for themselves. My personal schedule or the pilot phase of a gardening project are not points of your debate, and I won't be entertaining further distractions on these topics.

Let’s stick to facts that benefit the residents rather than creating a false narrative for the sake of it.

Hello Nandish and Praveen,

The Association room is wide open and waiting for you gracious presence and any clarification needed can be obtained by yourselves.

Let’s stop misleading residents in any manner. You already tried this when you took over in 2024 and failed miserably and you had your retract your statements.

Also like one of you said accounting is not a joke …. So 

Why don’t you try coming and meeting the association in the upcoming meeting as informed earlier by our Treasurer. We can debate at length as to who did what and when and why.

Lets stop twisting the facts and misleading residents as numbers speak for themselves. Instead of asking where do I find this and that, refer to the documents and come up with questions that makes sense for everyone. So, let’s stop mudslinging on one another as its never ending.

All said and done, we as a team are always open to answer genuine questions not the questions with twisting facts. 

So this will be the last official reply from association on this topic. Rest will be discussed with residents in the upcoming meeting. Kindly take time out and attend the meeting with genuine questions on maintenence and probably few constructive suggestions if you can, which may ultimately benefit society.

Dear Nandish and Praveen,

It seems there is still a lot to learn about how mislead/narratives are shaped and presented in our community discussions. Perhaps recent experiences offer useful lessons ,  from entering elections with confidence, withdrawing the name at a convenient stage, and later finding alternative/backdoor  ways to re-enter the Association as an office bearer. With enough patience, one may even position themselves for higher principal roles such as President, Vice President, Treasurer or etc . Clearly, timing and strategy seem to play an important role in such journeys. 

Note: If the intention is genuinely to contribute, the appropriate forum is meeting with the association . Serious concerns deserve serious discussion backed by verified data, not fragmented communication. Let us ensure residents receive clarity, not confusion.

Your response does not address the specific and straightforward questions raised and instead appears to deflect from the core issues.

If “numbers speak for themselves,” there should be no difficulty in providing clear, point-wise answers to the following:

1. Where exactly the ₹9 lakhs collected (₹0.5/sq. ft.) is reflected in the MIS ?
2. The specific expense heads under which this amount has been accounted for ?
3. The exact amount transferred to the Income Tax department during the stated period

These are basic accounting questions, not hypothetical or misleading concerns. They require precise and verifiable answers—not general statements or redirection to meetings.

While meetings can be useful for discussion, they cannot replace transparent, documented financial reporting. Accountability requires that such information be clearly recorded and shared.

As residents, we are well within our rights to question discrepancies and expect clear answers.

We request a direct, factual, and point-wise response to each of the above queries without further deflection.

Every single time we are promised the relief from excess maintenance and every single time we are getting the increase in maintenance. This is seriously not good,  we have one simple question what are the steps that the current association is taking to reduce the maintenance charge??

Last year Q3 till Dec was 22,061 @ 21.9 sqft and then Jan-Mar came down to 5.84 per sqft to 17,649 but apart from Q3"25, 2024 completely was always close to 18k so for me apart from Q3 big jump its static to 18k no change, compared to 2023 when it was 11k per quarter. So to sum up from 2023 its always on higher side.

Abhinav, from the time this association has taken over the maintenance is ₹5.8. 

Not sure how come ₹5.8 is higher than ₹7.3 which was the last raised bill by previous association.

Can you confirm from past 2 quarter what does your MyGate invoice reflect maintenance amount as?

Yes then please  help us.  I do not want to have a conversation comparing Old association, new association. Earlier as well i was paying 18k now as well the same. If you increase to 21k and bring back to 18k that is not making a difference for me.
Can we please have a constructive and meaningful discussion, we are here to help association but also i request you all to help in finding ways to reduce maintenance.

We can take accountability only about our tenure maintenance, which on declining trend. So definitely there has been some action taken which is reflecting.

Thanks for sharing your perspective. I agree that discussions should be constructive, transparent, and based on verified information.  At the same time, I’d like to highlight that our questions come from a genuine intent, 

1. We had earlier requested details on water hardness, but did not get daily reports

2. Regarding the ₹12 lakh discrepancy raised by the current association, we requested supporting details, access and a discussion with the accountant. These requests were not accommodated, and we were informed that it would be investigated internally. No report. 

3.  4-5 weeks Later, through informal discussions with known colleagues in association, some clarity emerged and the treasurer acknowledged an error. However till now, no updated MoM shared. 
 

Additionally, the current association has collected around ₹7.3 (21k, Oct 1st week)  maintenance by elevating charges (approx. ₹9 lakh (₹0.5) impact).  

We are simply seeking clarity on:

1. How the additional ₹9 lakh has been utilized
2. Why this is not clearly reflected in the MIS
3. The amount paid or transferred towards income tax

These are genuine questions aimed at improving transparency and maintaining proper records, which ultimately benefits the entire community.

For example: Guest house implementation, initially amount was said min 2.5 lakhs(in poll document), when we start questioning,  it became max 2.5 lakhs(while responding to question), finally it guesthouse ready under 1 lakh.  This highlights why scrutiny and questioning is necessary.  

We should encourage asking genuine questions, is my view.

Both numbers can't be true, so can you confirm which one is correct data?

@PRAVEEN T the question still remains open, which numbers you stand with (the ones published in pamphlets or the ones you shared over mail)?

@sda ro (Nithin), it is brought to our notice that the Audit report that was tabled in AGM was a signed draft copy. Original unsigned copy is at the association room, there seems to be some hesitation in signing that. Can you ensure that you get the original signed copy submitted to the registrar at earliest as this is a showstopper for us to conduct the current audit. We need to obtain an NOC from the last auditor.

Please take the example of Q2 2025. The maintenance charge as per the books of accounts works out to more than ₹7/sq. ft., whereas only ₹4.8/sq. ft. was collected as per the MIS during your previous term. This clearly indicates a gap between actuals and what was communicated in MIS.
You may also recall the instance during your tenure when the BESCOM bill was not included in the MIS expense calculation, which resulted in lower maintenance charges being presented at that time.
Given this context, it is difficult to understand why only questions are being raised now without addressing the following:
  • How has the ₹9 lakh collected in Q3 2025–26 been utilized?
  • Why is this amount not reflected in the MIS expense statement?
  • Why are we unable to sustain operations at an average of ₹4.6/sq. ft., as indicated during your previous term?
  • Was the capital/corpus fund utilized to maintain lower average maintenance charges?
Request you to provide clear, specific, and point-wise responses to each of the above queries.

If due process was not followed and this is wrong please go ahead and file a compliant. Has anyone stopped you from doing that.

For other stuffs people are running to police station to complain against association and this is a very serious issue and no one is bothered. Strange.

You are correct. 

Praveen contested 1st time saying residents 7Lac CCTV bill, reduced maintenance etc...

Even after contested for VP but illegally occupied both Treasurer and VP role.

Atlist current association opening the positions in public forum and asking for nomination. Someone has to join the position. If you're team is hiding and not taking any responsibility.

What can association do?

You can't say, match is only Valid only when you Own else match is canceled.

I can understand your frustration. You got selected as a treasurer but decided to/forced to resign without any performance. Appreciated your decision. 

Still in India election doesn't happen the way or the logic you are giving. 

1. If any elected member resign for any post.

2. The vacancy notification get published and position opened.

3. Then selection happens based on Nominations.

4. The logic you are giving is only happens if there is any malicious intent.


Facts remains the same

1. Praveen lost the open election badly this time.

2. Still he tried to enter the association when the Treasurer position opened. 

3. Again he lost the Voting for treasurer within MC members. 

4. MC members selected Prasath as treasurer. 

Where is the missing link ? What you think is wrong here ?

Can you please clarify on behalf of Praveen, 

1. what made him so desperate attempt to join the association back as a treasurer?

2. Was there any deal pending?

3. What he has not achieved in the previous association as a unofficial Treasurer and want to achieve this year ?

@sda ro (Nithin), since you were RO and you had a clear idea about the process. Can you please explain to a larger audience here if there was any process deviation post treasurer resigned. 

Does DoD or any rule states that if an elected member resigns then the next highest voter is to be elected by default?

Response: If any individual has sent mail from personal id then its a personal act, not an association act. Can you show evidence of association mail being used here.
If a metaphor can hurt so much then, look at attached image what the individual had said during the election campaign. ( others are a bunch of Garbage, look at the obscene pic, left open for interpretation). No one complained, as it was election time and campaign will happen. 

When you were treasurer, there was a blatant lie stating we misappropriated 74Lac, this had hit our credibility, we took it in a healthy way and discussed it with you guys, we didn't took it outside society by choice.

2) If there was no proof or evidence, did police show partiality towards you?

Response: Came to know police have chased away the complainant, they called association to inform and requested us to handle the matter within society. No action was initiated as there was no valid reason.

3) How much is paid/to be paid to lawyer and if this money is not paid from your personal money.
If its not ur personal money, Can all residents also utilise lawyer services??

Response: Agreement is in Mygate and notification was sent, have a look. If a resident or any of our staff gets into trouble assisting or working for society the lawyer is bound to help, not for personal use or grudge.

As a resident itself I have access to MyGate documents. Below snap is from the audit report submitted which shows the difference clearly. 
Also, it was discussed multiple times in AGM without any response provided.
