I've put a call out to my club GS Adams Ave for June 12,2009 to help
out.
I talked to Shaun last night about helping out for this Friday.
I've also asked our members about sponsoring one Friday per month.

Let us know what you guys come up with. I would like to race sprints this Friday but if nobody else can run the show I will. Its really not too tough on Fridays since the numbers are low. Main responsabilities for the race director would be

1. Registration
Make sure at least two people there by 6:15 with keys to the trailer behind concessions to open reg. The waivers, sign up sheets etc are there. The first person can do reg and the other needs to watch the gate if there are members training until 6:45 which they may.

2. Warm up
Attempt to get a motor from either Sean Burke, John Ledford, Eddy, Mark whitehead etc Gary can help organize this the day of when he is there, especialy if no motor, driver are available.

3. Race schedule
Gary can assist as can I in advance if you need help.

4. Judging and lap cards
You really need 2 people to do this so you can enjoy it.

On race numbers:
Do people race using the same numbers as they do on Tuesday?
If someone is new and needs to get a number, do we need to worry about
getting a number for a particular group?

The plan: You can use your Tuesday number on Friday. But if you are
new on Friday, you will get a new number.

We'll deconflict duplicate numbers in the same field as needed
(although on Tuesday, I announced a rider named "Jeannie", then
thought, "wow, that girl is ugly and has no breasts", then realized it
was a dude named Airey Baringer and we had duplicate numbers in the
race - Jeannie had a Friday number on). We should probably start
taking care of this before the race begins, but as you know, things
are pretty informal at the track.

In the registration box --- will someone (board member) be there early
enough to open the office trailer? --- there are numbers in there
marked as "Friday Night Numbers" that are to be used, along with the
ATRA forms and the other Waiver forms. Just make sure, as Gary
mentioned, that the numbers given out don't duplicate in the same
category.
