7th Annual San Diego Regional: FIRST Robotics Competition

Valley View Casino March 7-9, Admission is Free

Friday and Saturday are the big days where seeding and final rounds take place.

The FIRST Robotics program brings together high school students and adult mentors from a variety of industries to build a robot that solves a unique problem/game.

The 2013 problem/game is called Ultimate Ascent and the following video explains the game http://tinyurl.com/ae7wlhe

If you decide to attend, wear closed toed shoes (no sandals) and if you enter the pit area you will be required to wear safety glasses.

This is a great opportunity to see some clever and creative software, electronics and mechanical integration activities, aka Hacking! at work.

Hey Dan,

We made it for the semis and finals. Those are some amazing critters these kids have made. I hope some HNers got down here to the pit to meet these kids. The big companies sure did.
