Feedback with the CA Dream Team Alliance call

Hi Nidya,

The call went well it's more like giving information for our group. So they address different norcal and socal group that's part of the alliance. They apologize for the miscommunication.

Anyways I had told them the same issue we are having as far as getting together and having meetings consistently just keeping the organization going. So I got good feedback from the organizers. One thing they told me is to get everyone together and organize for the passage of AB 131. Just like how we organized for the federal Dream Act, same strategy from then on we can keep going since election time is coming up and immigration is a hot topic right now. Furthermore, they gave strategy ideas such as phone banking and town hall meeting. Carlos Amador told me that we should set a meeting w/ the district director regarding AB 131 letting Christine Kehoe that there are AB 540 students or undocumented students living in SD, we can get her info on google where we will be directed to the district director that will give us a set meeting. So I thought that was a good idea. In order to do this we need allies who are citizen that supports undocumented student. Maybe youre familiar with how it's done.

Also, after this organizing for AB 131 if we are up for it, we need a goal(s) to stick w/ to keep the foundation going. What do you say?

Also, I'm not familiar w/ California Dream Act so I had ask if I can get in-depth info about it. So anyone who is not familiar or not now it fully let me know so maybe we can start advocating for it.
