This is an email from Erin Rainer a J.O.B organizer. Hope to see you all soon!!
-------------
Hi, my name is Erin Raisner and I am one of the co-chairs for the J.O.B.
South County Immigration Task Force. In light of the anti immigrant
sentiment happening locally and across the country we are excited to get
the immigration task force going again!
We will be holding a meeting on Wednesday August 3rd at 6:30 pm at the
Mercado Apts Community Room (2001 Newton avenue). We will be brainstorming
opportunities for us to get involved in the local and national fights on
immigration reform, we would be happy if you could join us.
Some examples of our past work include:
-training community leaders in north and south county on immigration
policy, how to be leaders in their community and the policy information on
immigration reform
-massive citizenship workshops where hundreds of people attended and were
able to have their citizenship forms and legal advice FREE
- dream act advocacy
-participation in the national reform immigration for america campaigns
- lobbying congressmen and other political leaders on immigration reform
Thank you and I hope to see you there.
Sincerely,
Erin Raisner
