Dear San Diego Dream Team,

Dreams at UCI, in collaboration with the Chicano/Latino Graduate Department, would like to cordially invite you to our First Annual DREAMS benefit concert. We will bring to you a variety of music and dance to celebrate our achievements throughout the year, and will also fund-raise for the DREAMS cause. All profits of the Benefit Concert will go towards helping our students and their academic career-building. We will also have a ceremony to honor the allies and dreamers who will be graduating this year. The event will take place Thursday, May 19th from 7pm to 10pm at the Student Center Terrace. Light refreshments will be served.

Dreams at UCI endlessly tries to educate and advocate for undocumented students of all ethnic backgrounds who attend UCI, for the state and federal Dream Act, and other legislature pertaining to the rights of immigrant students and educational equality. We have developed retention and research programs, as well as graduate school panels and outreach events. Unfortunately, some

of our members have been forced to drop out from this academic year, due to increased tuition and the lack of institutional aid for undocumented students and AB540[1] students. For these reasons, we have collected our efforts into organizing this benefit concert so that these students can reach their academic endeavors.

Once again, thank you for your support and hope to see you May 19th! For further questions please contact:
