Have any of you geocached in or around the Madison, WI area? I am
heading there this week and am hoping to get some caching in. It
looks like there are some decent areas South and East of Madison
proper. It also looks like there are 2-3 Earthcaches and virtual
caches to pick up. I did get the webcam on campus already :).

Just curious if anyone has info or contacts in the Madison, WI area.

Hey Scott,

I think Brett (lagrac) may have cached there, you can probably reach him through geocaching.com.  I haven't been any farther east than Des Moines IA and Springfield MO.
Hope you have a fun trip!

Carol

Well, I made it to WI. I picked up an odd EC on the way. I have a
feeling in the summer it will be more interesting. I picked up a
virtual today on the campus of UW which was fun because I had not
really been on campus before. The weather here is amazing so the
campus was just a flurry of activity. I then walked 3-4 more miles to
pick up 2 caches. Turns out that driving to caches makes the process
much quicker. I will say I got a nice walking tour of the downtown
area though. I didn't get numbers, but I definitely got exercise and
enjoyed myself - I call it a success.

Hope everyone else gets some caching done while the weather is nice.
