2026 SCYYRA Racing Team Application is OPEN

Ahoy, SCYYRA Community!

The application for the 2026 SCYYRA Racing Team is now OPEN to high school sailors in Southern California! The SCYYRA Racing Team of today will become some of the most elite sailors of tomorrow, from college sailing champions to the America's Cup and Olympic podiums.  Check out the teams from the past twenty years on the Team page, you're sure to see some familiar faces!

What do you need to do to apply?  

• Review the Team page for more information.
• Refer to the Racing Team Matrix thoroughly, and choose your top 5 regattas thoughtfully.
• Submit your Application no later than October 5, 2025 at 11:59PM.  NO late entries will be accepted. We highly recommend applying early in the application window!

Important Note: A historic requirement for membership on the SCYYRA Racing Team is attendance at the SCYYRA Advanced Racing Clinic to mentor the next generation.  Do you remember being inspired by an older sailor when you were starting out?  This is an awesome opportunity to learn and lead by example!
