The 2025-2026 SCYYRA Series year is quickly approaching!  Many of you had exciting summers racing in California, across the United States, and Internationally!  We'd love to hear what you were up to (email in...@scyyra.org), and we look forward to spotlighting our SoCal sailors in the coming weeks.  

As you've hopefully heard, SCYYRA updated its contact information.  Please add in...@scyyra.org to your contacts so you do not miss any important notices or information!  

Series registration for 2025-2026 is now open HERE!!  Please keep an eye out for updated Notices of Series, as well as any updates to individual series' Standing Rules, prior to the first regattas of each series on the website as well.

2025 Richard Henry Dana Youth Charity Regatta - September 7th, 2025

On behalf of Dana Point Yacht Club's Charity Regatta Chairman and Rear Commodore, Steve Shryock, I would like to cordially invite your Junior Racing Team and young club sailors to participate in the 2025 Richard Henry Dana Youth Charity Regatta on September 7, 2025.  Conducted by Dana Point Yacht Club, the race weekend benefits the Boys and Girls Club of Capistrano Valley.
 
We have secured a permit to race inside the harbor this year, so we're looking forward to a big fleet, populated with experienced and novice racers alike.  Click here for the RHD Junior Regatta registration and NORs link and other information:  https://www.regattanetwork.com/event/29551

To make it a festive day for junior racers' parents and chaperones, the DPYC is inviting you to spend the day at the club watching the Junior race's start and finish from the club's balcony.  Meals, soft drinks, and adult beverages will be available for purchase throughout the day in the upstairs members dining room adjoining the viewing balcony.  
 
Boat Rentals are available at no additional charge beyond the registration fee.

ABYC US-Sailing Level 1 Course Oct. 3-5, 2025

Alamitos Bay Yacht Club is hosting a fall Small Boat Instructor Level 1 course.  Registration and more information can be found HERE.  The fall is a great time of year to get certified, as the spring can get busy and course openings are harder to come by!
