This short report brings to light some interesting commits to
scylla.git master from the last week. Commits in the
b53eeb8a6c..f98cb9650 range are covered.
There were 20 non-merge commits from 10 authors in that period.
Some notable commits:
Repair-based node operations are now enabled by default for the replacenode
operation. Repair-based node operations use repair instead of
streaming to transfer data, making it resumable and more robust
(but slower). A new parameter defines which node operations use
repair.
Commitlog recently started enforcing its disk space limit as a
hard limit, but it turns out that this causes performance
regressions, so it is turned
off until we find and fix the cause.
The load-and-stream feature, that loads new sstables into a node and distributes their content across the cluster, now also performs related materialized view updates.
See you in the next issue of last week in scylla.git master!
