The ScyllaDB team announces ScyllaDB Open Source 5.0.1, a bugfix release of the ScyllaDB 5.0 stable branch.

ScyllaDB Open Source 5.0.1, like all past and future 5.x.y releases, is backward compatible and supports rolling upgrades.

Issues fixed in this release:

• Stability: repair generate gets many errors of: “Sending repair_flush_hints_batchlog to node failed: std::runtime_error” (timedout).  #10004

• Stability: Off-strategy compaction does not always run in maintenance scheduling group #10151

• Tools: Nodetool scrub (skip and segregate modes) can extend range tombstone changes, deleting data #10168.

• CQL: Clustering Key with DESC direction cannot be queried by "LIKE" operator #10183

• Alternator - empty AttributesToGet should be forbidden #10332

• Azure: coredump during creating instance on azure on single node #10494

• Setup: scylla_setup failing in artifacts test on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS. The root cause is the Storage field of "coredumpctl info" changed at systemd-v248, it added "(present)" on the end of line when the coredump file was available.  #10669

• Setup: Scylla housekeeping script is missing the execute bit on OEL81 installs #10752

• CQL: Materialized views with filters on regular columns do not work when the base table includes static columns #10851

• Stability (Materialized views): trace state shared_ptr is used-after-move #11015
