This short report brings to light some interesting commits to scylla.git master from the last weeks. Commits in the 4f3b8f38e2..9caf85f64a range are covered.

There were 24 non-merge commits from 10 authors in that period. Some notable commits:

Time Window Compaction strategy reshape gained two optimizations. Reshape happens when changing compaction strategies or after streaming data to a new node. The optimizations reduce write amplification and therefore the time spent when adding a new node.

A performance regression in the memtable reader was fixed. The regression was introduced when adding support to reverse queries.
