GIS students

Students define, measure community resources

Students apply their GIS skills on class projects exploring issues like food security in San Jose by measuring the distribution of liquor stores vs. healthier food resources (e.g., farmers' markets or supermarkets). Two students from last fall's class of GIS got jobs after graduation based off of their GIS skills. Read more >>

Marquita Coe, Assistant Registrar

Marquita Coe is co-chair of the Staff Senate's community service committee. Through this role and as a volunteer working with the Ignatian Center, she helped plan and promote various projects with local campus and community organizations. Photo: Marquita spearheads the linen drive, inviting staff, faculty, and students to donate linens to local shelters each year. Read more >>
