I have not been able locate the correct driver download for the printer. I download a .dmg file, open it, click on "Install Software Package," and I get an error message that says "Installed failed because there are no drivers to download.
I understand that you have an HP Color LaserJet 4700 printer that you would like to use with your Mac. This printer is listed as having available software accessible directly from Software Update on your Mac according to the following article.
I have a HP color Laserjet 4700 Series printer. My OS is windows 10. Yesterday I had FiberOptics installed & they replaced my router with a new one of theirs (Country Cablevision). My internet connection works fine BUT my HP 4700 printer (which is connected to the new router with an Erthernet Cable--as it was to the old router) does not work. I keep getting "printer is offline" meassage. I have manully installed the new IP Address into the printer but that didn't work-the Subnet Mask is correct but I don't know if there are other things that I need to changed or not.
I had the same issue before, and a colleague told me to try this site for software and drivers, where I luckily found one for my HP printer too. Give it a try if you can find one that will work for your HP printer.
Quiet often, I found that the color tab went away if the application (or user) chose 'B/W output' vs 'Color Output' in the 'Printing Preferences' tab. (yeah, the OTHER one). Selecting 'B/W only' causes the driver to drop the color options. Since this is a per-application setting, it could happen and not be affected by driver reinstalls.
Creating shared print queues in Windows Server 2012 follows the same process as Windows Server 2008 R2. A local printer must be installed on the server and connected to a port and a driver, and the print queue must be shared in order for client computers to discover and connect to it. When using a v4 driver, an administrator does not need to install a driver for any additional processor architectures.
The user will not be prompted to provide credentials to install the v4 print driver. The v4 driver installs from the local driver store and the user will see a printer installation indicator with a status bar. After the installation completes, the printer is ready to use with no further action needed.
After the printer is installed, its properties will show the driver as the Microsoft enhanced Point and Print compatibility driver instead of the v4 Class Driver or Model Specific driver that is installed on the server.
Installing the printer driver correctly: Do not connect the printer to the computer. Start installing the software first. During the installation process, a message will appear on the monitor informing you when to connect the printer to your computer.
To use any computer device, software (driver) is required. It is recommended to use the original software included with the computer device. If you don't have the software and can't find it on your computer device manufacturer's website, we can help. Tell us the model of your printer, scanner, monitor or other computer device, as well as the operating system version (for example: Windows 11, Windows 10, Windows 8, etc.).

A recent service called involved a machine that was printing light in all the colors. When I printed a config page I noticed that all the colors seemed extremely light. The printer error report showed lots of CPR sensor errors and 54.XX halftone calibration errors.
Example 2: Alternatively you can use one of the HP Universal Printing drivers for all four physical HP printers (however only the static mode of this driver is recommended). Please note that in this case all five printer objects have to use the same driver, thus also the respective Personal Printer, e. g.: Personal Printer HP
To use AirPrint, you don't need to install an app, additional drivers, or other software. AirPrint is a technology built into most popular printer models, including the printers and print servers listed here.
Similar to AirPrint printers, these USB devices allow you to print or scan without having to install additional drivers. Because they require a USB connection, they support driverless printing or scanning only from Mac computers.
Open Printer Properties and verify that the print driver indicates color support in the driver on the General tab. If the Color: setting in the Features section on the General tab is set to No, the driver is not configured to print in color.
If the Color: setting in the Features section on the General tab is set to No, click the Device Settings tab, and under Installable Options, click Automatic Configuration: Off (the default) to display the drop-down list, and then select Update Now to perform an Automatic Configuration. The driver sends an SNMP command to the printer to retrieve the device information.
