Hello there!
This note is to invite you to join SCUD - Stop Columbia University Displacement - tonight and tomorrow for soup, song, and solidarity at our weekly encampment @ 655 W 125th Street (between Broadway and Amsterdam).
TONIGHT - Friday 3/30
Beginning at about 6pm and lasting through the night:
open space for breaking bread, sharing stories, writing, making music, adding to the wall of drawings and paintings at SCUD, listening, reading, running, yelling, smiling, and sharing fantasies. Occupation of the block for the night. Local residents, workers, and students hold the space together, sleep out on the sidewalk. Collection of blankets, sleeping bags, pillows, etc.
7:30pm - Dinner and weekly General Assembly
Stay the night!
TOMORROW - Saturday 3/31
2pm - after a shared breakfast, solidarity march out into the local
community to make as many connections between people in the area as possible.
Bring your friends and neighbors.
