Regarding this Sudan crisis, the Upper Nile Shelter NFI Cluster is seeking humanitarian actors on a routine basis to analyze the situation in South Sudan through Renk (Upper Nile) borders and the surrounding Renk area to assess and update the situation

The following partners have  expressed interest and  planned to deploy their staff on routine  basis to assess and get the update to consolidate to response based on the scenarios and other integrated humanitarian collaboration and decisions (AHCT, ICCG and Government authorities)

Dear all,

At the moment the response to the returnees from Sudan is only targeted at moving people from Renk to wherever they intend to go and IOM and UNHCR are jointly coordinating the operation. Nothing assigned or requested to clusters as yet hence no distributions are planned in Renk so that there is no creation of hold up factor or potential creation of camps. When the need arises, or context changes and clusters are requested to step in all partners will be informed.

 

The returnees will fit into the existing programs in the locations where they have returned to without them being targeted as a unique or specific caseload. Where possible we should encourage integration to existing communities.
