Dear colleagues and partners,
As agreed in the meeting today, I will share a brief update on the current project of a new shelter design which Medair is implementing.
As you may know, MEDAIR is the implementing partner of a Shelter Innovation Project partnering with the Architecture Department of the University of Juba and the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL).
After the successful workshop last week, where many of you participated, we have already started with the distribution of 50 Shelter Kits to a community.
The research project will come to an end in 3 months. Once all reports are finalized I will share those, including instructions and further details and findings.
Please note, that this project is not primarily a humanitarian intervention in itself. It is a research, with the aim of creating new shelter designs to inform and improve humanitarian interventions in South Sudan.
Please find attached a short presentation with a few basic details about the project and some pictures.
Feel free to get in touch with me in case of questions, etc.
Thank you, Markus

Thanks, once Aliga for understanding,
just to add more, we are handling the national crisis emergency. you all know how important handling conflict situations and people fleeing violence with experience especially the trauma and fears in Refugees and returnees situation, is only 30 minutes that such a person must get food, water and rest shade. and the next five days a camp is made available. The conduct norms or rules for handling this kind of person worldwide don't change. It is what we do as instutions that change.
