Upper Nile-SNFI-Call for expression of interest for Mobile Responders to response to Melut IDPs

Dear Mobile responders,

I hope you are fine and doing well,

MSF flagged the need in Melut based on the assessment report.

MSF Spain conducted an assessment on 11th of December 2022 for IDP's humanitarian needs in Melut in order to get concrete information on the humanitarian needs in Melut after the displacement of the population from Fashoda County.

The estimated number of IDPs was 10,646 including 824 individuals integrated into the community and over 100 unaccompanied minors accordingly to local authorities, IDPs are living in a bad conditions and require urgent support with an emergency Shelter and NFI.

In order to provide a timely emergency response, Upper Nile SNFI cluster sub-national coordination team urgently calls for mobile responders to alleviate the suffering of the affected population in Melut County.

 

Attached is the fact-finding and need analysis conducted by MSF-Spain.

Dear Inparajaa.

NRC did Shelter needs analysis as well as market assessment for the IDPs in Melut  last month

NRC might respond to 1200HH with Cash for Shelter once the MEB is calculated.

 

The report will be shared together with the MEB and the final case load to be reached. We have a team that travelled today to Melut and Manyo.

NRC is available for any coordination or information needed

Dear All mobile responders and partners

Big thanks with lots of love for your expression of interest. In this regards all of the humanitarian actors in the pipeline and interested to support are as follows.

 

• IOM and MSF jointly agreed to respond to SNFI by using the core pipeline. On other hand, MSF also directly received items to respond to in collaboration with UNICEF and WHO as well -Next week.
• NRC planned for Cash assistance for Shelter- following weeks
• ADA also now responding to cash in melut    
• UNHCR planned to respond in partnership with HDC  (ES and NFI kits) - in the following weeks

Please be vigilant with each other to get effective output in this emergency response in terms of coordination and communication.
