follow-up to call

I'm sorry that I had to leave the call early!  I wanted to say that, to some extent, the discussions on Principles 11 and 12 petered out because nobody put the time into pruning them into something manageable---many of the other principles that were approved went through that early stage of seeming too broad, but then becoming acceptable to the wider group as we started to define exactly what we meant.

Unfortunately, I'll be flying to Washington tomorrow during our Standards Committee quarterly call and won't be able to join you.  Hope it goes well!
