hi,
According to Mr. Li (李), Training Cooperation Department of HRSC of Chengdu Tianfu Software Park, the park may fund Scrum certifications. It depends on the demands from companies in Chengdu Hi-tech Zone.
The primary plan may be to fund 20 people for two-days ScrumMaster certification in the first round. A survey will be sent out to all companies in the area after the National Holiday (Sep. is to tight for them) to get how many companies and persons want to join ScrumMaster training and certification program. And then the Park will decide the next action according the headcount. How much the Park can fund is not decide yet (need higher level approvals). In short, everything is possible if there are demands.
One concern from Mr. Li is that whether the Park could find out the demands for training (e.g. Scrum) and the companies could know what the Park can help. It seems the current communication channel (email box of HR) does not work well to get demands on training from companies. So here, i'd like to forward that: the Park can invest effort/money to help companies in the area to get ANY kind of professional training if there is a lot of demands on it. The Park will get more managers of R&D department, where training demands come from, posted by other means along w/ HR's box.
By now, if you or your department want to get helps from the Park to get training please check it out from your HR by asking her/him to forward emails about training programs from the Park. If no existing training program arranged by the Park fit your demands you can contact w/ Mr. Li. ( lijf ^at^ tfsp.cn, reply me privately for his cell number).
