I have previously written about how difficult I find it to renew my
Scrum Alliance certifications (http://goo.gl/jad5Y), and I am once
again having difficulty this year so I thought I would ask the
community for help.

On Dec 1st, I received an email from the SA telling me that my
certifications were going to expire. The email says that I can find
renewal instructions at http://www.scrumalliance.org/pages/fee_payment_links.

That web page tells me to "login and proceed to your dashboard." The
dashboard says "Membership expires in 15 days. Details..." The
details text is hyperlinked.

When I click on details it contains additional text and tells me to
"Please take a moment to renew." However, I do not see how to renew
my membership.

On Dec 16, I sent email to the SA asking for help and on Dec 19 I
received a reply from Lisa Reeder which reads in part: "Please log
into your account, go to your Dashboard page and select the "green
colored" button labeled "Renew Membership"."

I did as suggested but I do not see a green button labeled Renew
Membership. I replied to this email stating this but have yet to
receive a reply.

The end result is that I have not been able to renew my CSM (or CSP).

Can anyone help me?

Hi Michael,

Unless their backend system has changed, you cannot renew your CSM while you have a CSP.  The CSM does not need to be renewed.

The CSP was a manual process last year, and I assume it is probably still.  If your CSP is still current, you are good to go.

If your CSP is expired, it takes a reapplication. ( unless something has changed recently).

Hope all is well with you Michael - Good luck!!

Thanks, Howard.

Yes, as far as I can tell, the CSP renewal process is still manual. I
fired off the process by sending email to
Certif...@ScrumAlliance.org

I did not realize that the CSM does not need to be renewed since I
have a CSP.
