MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
3 - 5 YEARS EXPERIENCE WITH THE FOLLOWING:
O IBM WEBSPHERE TRANSFORMATION EXTENDER (FKA MERCATOR) V8.2X
(DESIGN STUDIO, COMMERCE MANAGER)
O MERCATOR TYPE DESIGNER, MERCATOR TYPE TREE IMPORTER AND XML
o EDI ANSI X12 Standards
o Java, XML, XSL, HTML
o SQL / PLSQL
o Unix Scripting
o NAESB Standards
o Inside Agent (GISB Server)
o PGP encryption
o Transmission Protocols (FTP,SSH,SFTP,FTPS)
• Proven understanding of Unix operating system
• Proven understanding of Windows operating systems
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design, develop, maintain, enhance and support application programs and
processes – project will begin as 60% production support/ 40%
development, then become more focused on the development
Interface with clients to determine requirements, resolve issues and
determine cost estimates. Provide subject matter expertise to the
business client in order to assist with problem solving and as a
resource for training and development
Design, develop, maintain, enhance and support application programs
working within a team-oriented environment using various development
toolsets.
Provide production support and monitoring of systems supporting business
clients, occasionally after normal work hours.
Participating in an on-call support rotation is required for 1 week at a
time occassionally.
Support SOX controls, testing and audits.
Coordinate application requests, prioritization and business
communication.
Facilitate requirements gathering efforts and clearly document system
requirements.
Development of prototypes/proofs of concept to validate key project
assumptions prior to making significant investments.
Documentation of design specifications.
Develop new and enhanced system functionality including custom code and
packaged application configuration.
Ensure the successful transition from development to operations
including operations procedures and tools such as process control
points, reports, and automated monitoring.

Identified the errors in the partner's EDI data on a day-to-day basis
and reported the same to the partners. Prepared Mapping Guides to
Upgrade GENTRAN maps to IBM WTX - Mercator Maps.
Used Mercator Type Designer (Type Tree Editor) to define, modify, and
view Mercator type trees.
Used Mercator Map Designer to develop maps defining input and output
specifications and mapping rules that perform data transformation as
desired.
