3. MSSQL servers and clusters in a high-availability environment
EVP:
· Small company environment where everyone is on a first-name basis and interacts daily with both of the owners
· Variety in role to do different things – no one day is the same
· Growth company – recently received investment capital in March to expand their entire website.
Business Challenge:
The website needs to be refreshed and updated in order to make the purchasing process smoother and increase sales.
End User:
Customers who make purchases off the website. This accounts for 80% of their revenue.
About the position:
We have a team of developers and IT personnel that codes, deploys and maintains the infrastructure for our large scale e-commerce website and internal call center. As a part of this team, you would be responsible for maintaining several groups of Microsoft SQL Servers, both individual and clustered. You would also write and maintain several ETL jobs to update data between operationally and geographically disparate systems. Additionally, we welcome those candidates with mixed skillets in other areas that could contribute to the team, such as java development and general systems administration. This is a full time, permanent position.
You should be self-motivated and a quick learner with excellent attention to detail and an enthusiasm for taking ownership of your tasks. You should also have the ability to work and communicate effectively with a diverse team of developers, along with being willing to ask questions when needed.
Candidates must be local to Minneapolis / St. Paul area and available to interview in person. Telecommuting is not available for this position. We are unable to sponsor work visas or support EAD/OPT at this time.
