Environment
  • Scroll Viewport: 2.15.5
  • Scroll Translations: 3.13.1
Preconditions
  • Knowledge base with two languages (English default and German in this case)
Observed with Theme "Help Center"
  1. Switch language to German
  2. Enter German word word into search bar to find articles
  3. The page excerpts displayed right after typing are displayed in German, but titles are displayed in English
  4. Click enter to accept the search term and to open the dedicated search results page
  5. Also here, page excerpts are displayed in German, but titles in English
Observed with Theme "Web Help"
  1. Switch language to German
  2. Enter German word word into search bar to find articles
  3. The page excerpts displayed right after typing are displayed in German, and the titles are displayed in German as wellö
  4. Click enter to accept the search term and to open the dedicated search results page
  5. Page excerpts are displayed in German, and titles are displayed in German as well
Expected
  • Theme "Help Center" also shows titles in German, just as "Web Help" does
Technical Observations
  • The "Web Help" Theme search bar adds the following parameter to the search REST call, whereas the "Help Center" theme does not:
    scroll-translations:language-key=de

Hi Alexander.

Thanks for the detailed overview of the issue! This is, unfortunately, an expected behaviour with the Help Center theme and Translations.
We are currently working on a search that would work with Help Center theme properly when used in the space with Translations: https://k15t.jira.com/browse/VPRT-723. Please sign up at https://k15t.jira.com/secure/Signup!default.jspa to watch, comment on or vote for this issue. We'll then send a notification for every status update.

Cheers,
Roman.
