Query Data from any Template

Hi Community!

I hope you can help me with a request about templates.

I recently contacted k15t support, but did not receive a helpful answer, so I have a question for you:

How is it possible to retrieve and load data in a ScrollView template (*.vm)? The aim is to retrieve certain data (spaces, collections, etc.) for the template on the server when rendering the page and to make this data available to the client in advance in the template.

I want to achieve (like Atlassian does) to provide preloaded data to the template.

Example: https://confluence.atlassian.com/search/?productName=Confluence&productVersion=8.1&pageType=knowledge_base&queryString=asdf

According to the k15t documentation, I can only find instructions on how to trigger a search from the client via URL parameters in the search.vm view, which is not my desired behaviour.

So to summarise: How can I already query data in the template using CQL and make it available in the template?

Thank you for reaching out to this groups and support. For future reference I’d like to quickly document that  we were able to identify your problem within a support call with our developer team. We found that your desired behaviour is best achieved with parameters within a custom theme.
