Scripture chain.

Scripture is all linked - there is no way to avoid it. So, lets make
a scripture chain. I will start by posting a verse. You read the
verse, and post a verse that it made you think of in response, and
why.

Genesis 1:1
(1) In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

This is the start of the chain, because it is the first verse in the
Bible.

Isaiah 44:24 Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed
thee from the womb, I am the LORD that maketh all things; that
stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by
myself;

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word
was God.

This scripture invoked an image of God spreading out the heavens with
great purpose and design. And He has also spread wings under which we
can shelter. Therefore:

Psalms 36:7
(7) How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the
children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.
