to Scripto Dev
Hi Everyone,
I'm trying out Scripto on Omeka, and I have two questions:
1. How do I find my ? The link that the documentation sends me to "https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/API:Main_page#What_you_need_to_access_the_API" is a little confusing. It seems to reference a section that no longer exists. Is there a simple url slug that I would add after my domain. I see that the base example they give to wikipedia is 'https://en.wikipedia.org/w/api.php'should I look for a similar URL pattern for the MediaWiki I just installed? 2. Does the MediaWiki instance need to be publicly available? I know this sounds like a silly question for a tool that allows the public to supply transcriptions. I'm testing all this on a development server and since the MediaWiki instance isn't on a production server, I'm wondering if the API URL will always look broken to Omeka (which is on the same dev server).
Thanks for any insight and suggestions, Scott

2. Omeka can talk to the API even if on a development (non-public) server (though in my case they're on the same server, and that might make a difference.)
Best,
Scott
